80′s Pattern Blast from the Past

So, I’m cleaning out my craft room so I can get moving this year with my sewing plans… and buried at the bottom of a Rubbermaid tub, I find… Ack!  If that isn’t a blast from the past!

This was the first pattern I sewed for a class project in home economics.  We sold them as a fund raiser for $5 a pair and made them custom order to size, which in ’86, was a major hit Ti

mes and fabrics may have changed since then, but surfer shorts are, remarkably, still in style.  Cost a lot more than $5 a pair though…. Not sure yet, but I may just make a pair to wear while gardening.  If anything, at least I’m thinking about summer wear right now.
